Holbrook Statement on Recent Cuba Developments
On October 25, the U.S. Department of Transportation ordered U.S. airlines to discontinue flights to all Cuban cities except Havana. The suspension goes into effect December 10, with no end date anticipated.
While this announcement does affect some airports Holbrook had previously used, the majority of our travel programs fly in and out of Havana and will not be affected. Looking ahead, we are working closely with our partners in the U.S. and Cuba to ensure all our future offerings comply with the new regulations while continuing to provide the best experience for our travelers.
Holbrook has been working in Cuba since the year 2000 and has been through many changes regarding U.S. policy and travel regulations to Cuba. We continue to believe that engagement through travel is important and beneficial, both for our citizens and for the Cuban people.
As you make plans for future group travel, we encourage you to keep Cuba in mind as a possible destination. Following certain guidelines, travel to Cuba is still legal, and the country remains very safe. Most of all, connecting with its beautiful environments and friendly people is a rewarding and memorable experience.
